How would you feel if your neighbor put up a huge wall two inches from your house? What would you do about it?
Here's the catch: Unless there's some immediate threat to health and safety, the city can't come on the property and tear down the wall. So conceivabl

, or he would have known to get a variance and permit first. He must have been a real cracker-ja ck with Legos as a kid! The neighbor has more patience than anyone I know. If I opened my window to concrete I would have turned into Janezilla!
And I guarantee; the wall would have been down already! Jane
terithecook, 3 months ago | FlagTo be honest, I think it's crazy that this has gone on as long as it has. I have a friend that lives on the block and she warned me how bad it was, but until you see it in person you can't get it. Cunningham
(the homeowner) has no considerat ion for anyone but himself -- if he wanted a bigger home buy a house on a bigger piece of property. It's bad enough that the city let this go on as long as it has, but I have to believe that it won't be much longer. And I want to be there the day that wall has to come down.
Thanks for keeping us up to date John.

Somewhere in that non-sense you're spewing, you mention rights and the law. What about the Gershon's rights? They've a right to live safely, and not have a neighbor endangering their well being. That house is just too close for the sake of safety. There just isn't enough room for a person to get out of either house from where they're abutting.
What about the other clown obeying the law? He had to be told to stop THREE times. That's two times too many.
You want to talk about individuals, how about the individual responsibility of being a good neighbor, and member of the community.
If you want to build your own little castle, without having to worry about neighbors, then get a piece of property where building that castle won't enfringe upon the quality of life of others.
People today just don't care enough.

Sorry, I did not read all the comments. It sounds like bunch of Nazis gathering! Does anyone in this country still think that individuals have RIGHTS? I read this and smell – Iran?!? Thank you, John. As reward – go and get yourself a tattoo. Swastikas, may be?
